Competition Car Insurance and Towergate tlc are trading names of Towergate Underwriting Group Limited, registered in England with company number 4043759.
The company was founded in 1992 after it was discovered that there was a lack of insurance products that suited the needs of club competitors.
The company grew beyond all expectations, and in 2002 joined the THB Group Plc. In December 2006 Competition Car Insurance was aquired by Towergate Underwriting Group Limited, and will continue to be an innovater in the motorsport arena.
Competition Car is built on the view that each competitor is equally important to us and this has been the basis of our success. Nobody is too big or too small to deserve anything but a first class service from us.

The company exports over 65% of its products to more than 80 countries worldwide under the U-POL, System 20 and MAXIMUM brands amongst many others.
